HOW MANY GUESTS DOES THE VENUE ACCOMMODATE?
The Middleburg Barn has several spots on the farm that can accommodate any size event from 50 to 500+  
Most of our events are 100-200 in our event barn, but we can accommodate 350 seated with room for a dance floor and band or DJ.  We'd be  happy to discuss other parts of our farm, including The Stables, The Colony Room and The Hayloft.  

DO YOU INCLUDE TABLES AND CHAIRS?
Yes, in our packages for reception, we include tables, chairs, and cocktail tables.  We also offer a variety of furniture pieces consisting of couches, lounges; we also have ceremony seating.

HOW MANY HOURS IS THE RENTAL?  We offer one day rentals or multiple day rentals or longer. 
But, most events are for one day and are around 8 hours for reception which starts with catering set up at 4:00PM, cocktails, dinner and event time is 5 hours, music off at 11:00PM and clean up until 12:00midnight.  For added hours for ceremony, there is an extra fee to accommodate that time.  

DO OFFER A PAYMENT PLAN OPTION? 
Yes, we offer an easy scheduled payment plan option so that you are not strapped with paying a large amount money when booking.  We also accept major credit cards for all options of payment at our venue.    


WHAT YOUR CATERING OPTIONS AT THE MIDDLEBURG BARN?
We have an exclusive partnership with three caterers who know our venue and we have found to be the best in the business!  We are happy to send sample menus and estimated prices.  Our Catering Partners are full service caterers and their prices include the linens, plate ware, glassware, staff, bartenders, food, setup and clean up.  Depending on food, number of staff and number of guests, prices are anywhere from $170-$240 per person.  Again, it depends on place settings, number of staff, as well as food and alcohol.    
 
DO WE NEED A PLANNER FOR OUR EVENT?
Yes, no matter what event you have here, we do require a planner to be in charge.  Like our Caterers, we've teamed up with a Planning Partner who has their own business and does venue management for our venue.  The planner starts working for the client 6-8 weeks before the event.  They are the liaison between the venue, the clients and vendors.  They have been in business for many years, and are experts in making events successful so that clients can enjoy their event!  They will help with vendors, timelines, floorplans, walkthrough meetings, and they will be here from the beginning of the day until lock up.  If you already have a planner, our planning partner will still need to be retained to assist your planner in the capacity of a "day of coordinator".  They will assist the planner who may not know our venue.  Success for your event is our number 1 goal!

WE HAVE FAMILY MEMBERS AND FRIENDS WHO CAN HELP WITH FOOD, DECORATION AND PLANNING.  IS THAT ALLOWED?
Like any other business, we believe that professionals who have their own insurance and do this for a living works best for us.  Our vendors know our venue the best, and therefore, we don't offer a 'do-it-yourself' option at our venue.  

WE ARE DOING A SOUTH ASIAN/INDIAN WEDDING, CAN WE BRING IN OUR OWN CATERER?

WHAT ARE THE AMENITIES OF THE MIDDLEBURG BARN?
We invested a lot of money in our special amenities all for our client's benefit!    Just to name a few amazing amenities, we are a fully heated and air-conditioned venue with attractively designed restrooms, private suites with private bathrooms, as well as handicap access. 
We also have ambient lighting a feature that is unique to The Middleburg Barn. 
The other amazing feature we have is a full electrical transfer switch in case there is a storm that knocks out electricity, your event will still go on with full electricity!  This provides peace of mind so that you don't have to cancel your event.  Some of TV/Film production that have filmed here, also love this feature.  

ARE THERE ANIMALS ON YOUR PROPERTY?
Yes, we are a historic horse property with a rich history in all things horses.  Three horses live on the farm but not close to our event barn, so anyone with allergies doesn't need to worry.  However, if you wanted our horses to be apart of your event, for an extra fee, we will make sure they are bathed and groomed for your guests to visit and enjoy-- no dusty dirty horses live here!  
We also have two pet swans, Fred and Ginger who live on site.  They are very friendly, but stay away from guests mostly in the lake or by the dock.

WHERE EXACTLY ARE YOU AND WHAT ARE THE CLOSEST ACCOMMODATIONS?
Our venue has one of the best location on Route 50 and it's very easy to find us and find hotels.  West of us, just a 2 min. drive is the town of Middleburg where there are plenty of accommodations.  East of us the closest hotel is about 10 mins. away.  Dulles Airport is very easy to find and is a 20 min. drive for your out of town guests!
